A striking focal point, the Settlement Dining Table marries tradition with modern versatility. The teak used in its construction is sourced from fishing boats that once sailed the waters of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Known for their exceptional durability, these boats have endured harsh ocean conditions for up to 50 years before being retired.

Each board that forms the table's top carries a unique history, having weathered the elements and age. Hand-selected, planed, and lightly sanded, the rough-hewn planks retain their natural character, resulting in a one-of-a-kind table that celebrates authenticity in every detail.

The reclaimed teak features distinctive nicks, splits, cracks, knots, nail holes, patches, and other marks that tell the story of its origin. As an artisan-crafted piece, variations and imperfections are inherent, adding to its unique charm. No two tables are exactly alike, ensuring each piece is an original work of art.

Given the nature of reclaimed timber, the planks may be somewhat uneven and can develop small cracks, cups, or bows over time due to changes in temperature or humidity in your home environment. However, with proper care - such as a thin layer of beeswax brushed over the top once or twice a year - the beauty of this table can be enhanced and preserved for a lifetime.
